Upon buying the KWPN qualified Vigaro, born 2002, Stal Eurocommerce secured a stallion who, ridden by Roelof Bril in 2010, displayed an ever growing strong capacity for becoming a top jumper. Vigaro also proved to be a top breeder during the 1st presentation at the end of 2010, when all five of his descendants – two-and-a-half year-old stallions – qualified for the 2nd round. President of the jury Arie Hamoen stated: “We have seen descendants of name from Vigaro, who really stand out in show jumping”.
In 2009 Vigaro became 2nd during his first big competition in Wierden. In 2010 the stallion continued to show improving achievements.
Sire to Vigaro is Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve, Narcos II’s offspring. His dam Kiaralda is sister to the selection stallion Renville. Both Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve and Renville can boast an impressive career in show jumping.
Dam Kiaralda brought forth eight offspring, among which Pavarotti (sire Lancelot) who, mounted by Todd Minikus, is gathering fame at the Grand Prix of America as we speak. She also brought forth the national show jumping horse Oaralda (sire Indoctro). Grandam Aralda is keur, preferent and prestatie. She is dam to the international Grand Prix-jumpers Experiment (sire Renville, Mario (sire Lancer II) and Fighting Alpha (sire Frühling), who’s rider is Lars Nieberg. The stallion Fighting Alpha was approved in Oldenburg. In Kiaralda’s dam line we come across Farn, who may well be considered a cornerstone of Dutch horse breeding.
The KPWPN Stallion Selection of 2010 declared Tangelo Van de Zuuthoeve Keur. KWPN motivated their approval with following statement: “Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve was a very successful international show jumper. His offspring are prosperous at selections and in the ring. The breeding value of Tangelo van de Zuuthoeve is 151 with a reliability rate of 89%. A score of 113 on the inheritance of conformation is something to be proud of”. The performance inspection documented Vigaro as a top horse, scoring 9 on mentality. The judges’ opinion is noteworthy: “his canter is nimble and spacious yet powerful. In movement Vigaro has a good posture and balance. The stallion jumps magnificently with a high shoulder, has very good reflexes and a good technique. Vigaro jumps with good use of the body and superbly finishes the jump at the rear. Vigaro is very vigilant and shows a lot of power”.
